A Private Voyage

Designed exclusively for private charters, Mischief is an intimate setting for families and couples seeking a more personal way to explore Indonesia. With just three cabins for up to six guests, each voyage can be shaped around your own pace, interests, and sense of adventure.

Exploration at Sea and Ashore

Our expeditions combine time on the water with exploration ashore. Dive and snorkel among vibrant coral reefs, encounter remarkable marine life, and explore remote islands on foot, from coastal walks to more rewarding treks through Indonesia’s dramatic landscapes.

Life on Board

Between excursions, life on board takes on a slower rhythm. Relax on deck with a drink, take in the changing scenery as you cruise between islands, or settle in for a leisurely afternoon at sea. Dining becomes part of the journey, with thoughtfully prepared meals drawing on fresh local ingredients and the flavours of each destination. Evenings unfold over sunset drinks and unhurried dinners, with the sea as your backdrop.

Journeys Through Indonesia

Across Komodo, Alor, the Spice Islands, and Raja Ampat, each itinerary is guided by the character of the destination. For a honeymoon, a family escape, or a private journey shared with those closest to you, Mischief brings together exploration, culinary discovery, and the freedom to experience Indonesia at your own pace.

Location

About the area

Harbour Stories and Manggarai Heritage

Labuan Bajo is a lively harbour town on the western edge of Flores and the gateway to Komodo National Park. Its waterfront and old fishing quarters reflect generations of maritime trade, while nearby Melo village offers insight into Manggarai traditions, including ceremonial dances and distinctive communal houses. Travellers with more time can venture inland to traditional settlements such as Todo and Wae Rebo, where ancestral architecture and customary culture remain central to village life.

Cool Retreats Beyond the Tropical Sun

Indoor diversions in Labuan Bajo include restorative spas, Indonesian cooking classes, cafés overlooking the harbour, and small galleries displaying Flores textiles and handicrafts. Local dive centres also provide classroom sessions for beginners before open water excursions. For a sheltered natural experience, Batu Cermin Cave reveals limestone chambers where sunlight filters through narrow openings and glints from mineral rich walls.

Island Trails and Sapphire Seas

Outdoor adventures define a stay in Labuan Bajo. Boat trips sail through Komodo National Park to Padar Island, Pink Beach, Manta Point, and the islands of Komodo and Rinca. Hiking, snorkelling, diving, kayaking, and sunset cruises are widely available, while closer excursions lead to Rangko Cave, Cunca Wulang waterfall, and scenic hills above the town. The dry season generally brings clearer seas and excellent walking conditions.

Dragons, Mantas and Marine Wonders

The surrounding region supports some of Indonesia's most remarkable wildlife. Komodo dragons roam the dry savannah and woodland of Komodo and Rinca, accompanied by Timor deer, wild boar, water buffalo, and long tailed macaques. Offshore, nutrient rich currents attract manta rays, reef sharks, sea turtles, dolphins, and dense schools of tropical fish. Visitors should observe dragons only with authorised guides and follow park rules to protect both wildlife and habitat.
